Roadway and Parking

AVCON has extensive experience with design projects including roadway reconstruction, sidewalk design, roadway safety improvements, airport signage, and parking lot renovation/expansion. Our team of engineers work collaboratively to ensure our clients have a seamless and efficient project outcome. Some of these projects have included clearing and stripping, earthwork, stormwater structures, curb and gutter, landscaping, and electrical improvements for parking lot lighting and electric vehicle charging stations.

Clint Pletzer, PE

Civil Design Manager, Transportation

Clint Pletzer, PE has worked on more than 50 roadway design projects in his 21 years of experience. His skills include development of horizontal and vertical alignments utilizing GEOPAK, utility coordination and adjustments, maintenance of traffic, estimates, and construction drawing development in CADD format. He is also well versed in all phases of FDOT plans preparation. Clint has worked closely with a number of local governments and other public entities for a variety of transportation projects. Additionally, several of his projects have required extensive utility coordination, relocation, and design.

Airport Master Planning

The AVCON team has successfully provided more than 35 Master Plans and over 40 Airport Layout Plans since 1988. We collaborate with clients to understand the drivers behind the airport’s development needs and assist in achieving its goals and vision. Our master planning experience spans developing strategic 20-year capital programs for commercial service and general aviation airports. We have ample knowledge when it comes to FAA and FDOT policies and processes that not only ensures that an eligible funding program is identified for proposed airport improvements, but also ensures regulatory compliance in each airport project.

Ryan Lenda, CM

Director of Aviation Planning

Ryan brings nearly 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, including roles ranging from managing large and complex planning projects, to airport studies and master planning services. He is an American Association of Airport Executives Certified Member (CM) and earned an MBA from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, he has a B.S. in Aerospace Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he also received his Private Pilot license. Ryan has extensive knowledge on and off the airfield, and a solid understanding of planning principles and federal aviation regulations.
