Project Description

Fire Station No. 51:

  • Provided civil engineering services for an upgraded sanitary sewer line from the newly renovated station to the existing lift station. 
  • The project required underground survey of pipe locations in order to identify existing invert elevations to be used for design purposes.

Fire Station No. 54:

  • Consisted of rehabilitation to the exiting fire station including a complete interior re-design of the kitchen and dormitory rooms.
  • Civil engineering services included the upgrading of existing utility systems to accommodate the upgraded facility.

Fire Station No. 66:

  • Included civil engineering services to design a new fire water line from the existing water service on site to the point of connection for the new fire sprinkler service.  
  • The new line required the removal and replacement of portions of the concrete driveway servicing the high bay portion of the station.

Fire Station No. 68: 

  • Provided site design for a prototype fire station located at the northeast corner of Goldenrod Road and Silver Pointe Boulevard. 
  • This fire station is planned to accommodate approximately 30 staff and visitor parking spaces.

Fire Station No. 87: 

  • Provided site design for a prototype fire station located on Crown Hill Boulevard.
  • Design included geometry, building setbacks, utility locations, roadway right-of-way, existing and proposed easements, and proposed hardscape features.
  • Services also included preparation of grading and drainage and utility plans including coordination with the water and sewer utility providers.
  • Performed hydraulic calculations for water service and fire protection.
