Project Description
AVCON provided plumbing and fire protection design for the new Osceola County High School located in Kissimmee, Florida. Plumbing work incorporated domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, acid waste for laboratories, hot water heating systems, compressed air and natural gas systems. Fire protection design included wet type automatic sprinkler systems for each building in accordance with NFPA 13. The fire protection system was coordinated with architectural features of each building and with the civil designer for site connections and FDC locations.

The campus consists of eleven buildings with an aggregate area of 344,170 square feet.
- This includes classroom and administration buildings, auditorium, gymnasium, cafeteria, media center, central energy plant, and concessions.

The cafeteria building is comprised of a commercial kitchen serving 2712 students, a culinary arts space and food labs for teaching purposes.
- All design was coordinated with the food service consultant.
- The project was produced with Autodesk Revit 3D modeling.
- Plumbing and fire protection piping and equipment were coordinated with other MEP disciplines and structural elements to avoid conflicts.
