In recognition of their commitment to providing AVCON’s clients with outstanding service, demonstrated ability to successfully lead large teams on the most challenging of projects, and dedication to continuously advancing AVCON’s technical capabilities, we are pleased to announce that Rob Hambrecht, PE, and James Moose, PE have both been promoted to Vice President.

“Rob and James are both very deserving of this promotion,” said Sandeep Singh, PE, the firm’s President & CEO. “They exemplify our core values and unwavering commitment to our clients, so I’m excited to announce their participation in the firm’s ownership. Their addition to our ownership team strongly positions us to continue on our path of sustainable growth.  We can continue to provide excellence of service to our clients across an ever broader geographic footprint.”

Many of AVCON’s clients have relied on Rob to guide them through the process of planning and implementing commercial and general aviation infrastructure projects.  For the last decade he has worked for AVCON providing innovative solutions in nearly every aspect of professional engineering and consulting services for the aviation industry.  These responsibilities encompass a project’s entire lifespan, from initial planning, funding assistance, budgeting, engineering design, specification and plan preparation, and cost estimation, to construction administration and inspection.  Taxiways N and A Improvements at Daytona Beach International Airport, Apron Rehabilitation Phases 1-3 at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, and the Runway Rehabilitation Program at Melbourne Orlando International Airport are just a few examples of his notable projects. Rob also supports the industry through his active participation in the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA), Airport Consultants Council (ACC), and the Florida Airports Council (FAC).

“I want to acknowledge AVCON’s leadership team for building an incredible company that delivers exceptional work while valuing great client communication.  It is an honor and a privilege to join a leadership group committed to the continued innovation and improvement of the services AVCON provides.  This would not be possible without the firm’s engineers, planners, and myriad support staff who work hard each day to ensure that the firm succeeds one project at a time. In the upcoming years, I look forward to strategically expanding AVCON’s services while mentoring its next generation of leaders.” – Rob Hambrecht, PE

Commercial and General Aviation clients in the Mid-Atlantic region have depended on James Moose, P.E. to help them accomplish more within the constraints of their available resources by assisting them on a wide array of infrastructure projects. This has included planning, design, bidding, and construction management services on projects with complex grading, drainage, environmental permitting, pavement design, utility coordination, lighting, and navaids. Examples of James’ work include the Airfield Re-development Program at Asheville Regional Airport, the Rehabilitation of Runway 15-33 and Taxiway A at Smith Reynolds Airport, and the Ramp E Expansion program at Charlotte Douglass International Airport. James stays connected with personnel in the industry through his active participation in the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Airport Consultants Council (ACC), and the North Carolina Airports Association (NCAA).
