Key Highlights
AVCON kicked off the week with employee appreciation packs, filled with fun goodies. These small tokens of appreciation were our way of saying thank you for the dedication and hard work that fuels the AVCON engineers every day.
Tuesday, our teams put their problem-solving skills to the test with a structural engineering challenge using uncooked pasta and gumdrops. Each group had 10 minutes to construct a 9-inch-tall structure strong enough to support a book without collapsing. The room was filled with laughter, collaboration, and some seriously impressive designs!
Midweek called for a delicious break—so we set up a “Construct Your Own Nacho“ bar for our office to enjoy. With all the best toppings and plenty of cheese, our team got to build their dream nacho plates and take a well-deserved lunch break together.
And let’s be honest—it doesn’t take an engineer to know that more cheese equals better nachos!
Our team spent Thursday at Second Harvest Food Bank, preparing lunches, packing food for transport, and organizing packaging materials for recycling. It was a rewarding experience to contribute to a meaningful cause and support families in need.
Friday afternoon, our team gathered on Microsoft Teams for a fun and engaging engineering-themed trivia game. The questions covered AVCON’s history, major engineering breakthroughs and industry facts, sparking some friendly competition.
